ok lets say u forget ur bow-rope?

Let's say u are using a climber(hopefully a summit)..and u forget your bow-rope! What do you do? I have done this many times lol just curious on how others will solve this problem?

either lay it on the top section of the climber, put it over your head and wear it like a gun sling, or hunt from the ground that day.

I would secure it to the bottom of my climber and up she comes with me,I have a cord which joins the two together so the bottom portion can't fall down the trunk if my feet slip out of the spot were my boots go.

Never happens...I have one in my Primos Bow Vest and one in my bag on my API Grand Slam Magnum...

As you get older you learn these things..... :)

might take a little longer, but its coming up the tree with me.

I have a rope affixed to by stand just for this purpose.

I carry several just incase one gets lost or miss placed. but if i had none i would either put it across the bars as i climb or take one of the arm straps off the stand and put it on the bow so i could put it on my back,

Don't use a summit climber for one. Too bulky. I prefer my loggy. I just attach it to my backpack or safety strap as I climb the tree.

If for some reason you forget your pull-up rope, don't go back to the truck and grab 15# fishing line to pull your bow up with. Don't ask me why...

BGfisher 08-05-2011 11:36 AM

I assume your saying the rope I use to haul the bow up a tree. Well, I have numerous treestands and there is no way for me to forget a rope. I have a 25 footer attached to each stand. I just wrap it around the stand when traveling and unwrap it when I get to my tree. If it's a hang-on stand I just let it hang down after that. Simple as that.
