Doe with 3 fawns
Anyone ever see a Doe with 3 fawns ?
My cousin saw a Doe with 3 fawns while driving today. Isn' t this kind of rare ? Heard they usually have two at the most. Sag. |

Seen it. Matter of fact, seen the same doe with her three fawns several times. Your also correct in that it is somewhat unusual. |

I' ve seen it a couple times. The most notable was 2 years ago I saw a doe, with a gimp leg and her 3 fawns were all bb' s. Watched her all summer that year.

Given the right nutrition, does are very capable of producing triplets; however, they will usually produce twins in a well-balanced environment that is near the carrying capacity of the area.

does with 3 fawns are usually really old deer.... and very large too... i' ve seen it a couple times here and its pretty uncommon.... for my part of the state[:-] |

Had one last year that lived in my clover all summer. 3 little ones, (2 does, one bb).

I' ve never seen a doe w/ 3 fawns, but in an area i hunt, there is a doe that has 2 consistently each year.

Tho one or two is more common, I' ve seen several with 3 over the years. Each time I' m hoping it' s three young bucks...lol
