question for DoubleLung55?
i saw in your one post that you use rocket hammerheads that have a 2" cutting blade. i bought some last year toward the end of the second bow season and never got a shot at a deer. my question is what kind of arrow weight do you use? the guys at the pro shop told me that i didn' t have enough ke for that size head even though i shot 70lb 30" legacy with blackhawk vapor shafts. i don' t know the weight on them but i will find out.i am planning on hunting with them this year. in years past i have shot sidewinders with mixed results...losing 2 deer and getting 2 deer and a fox. this might give me the slight edge that i need...thanks

Sry i had hockey all day today... I am using beaman ICS 400' s just the regular hunters. i have no idea how much they wiegh , but i killdeer with my setup. I have killed every deer ive shot with the heads. I use 58 LBs with a 28 inch draw and ill be crankin that up sooooooo. But my dad is shootin 72 Lbs, same arrows, off a havoc. and he has killed 2 buck with the heads. both would of been pass throughs if not for shot placement. One he hit infront of the butt going straight away at abbout 12 yards , perfect heart shot, and the other right in the A$$, and it made it into the gut cavity , and killed it. so they r leathal.

RE: question for DoubleLung55?
Yeah, go ahead and stick a mechanical head with a 2" cut on them there arras. That' ll fix the problem. Hell, ya can even stick' em in da ass an kill' em.[:' (] Shheeeit, if their facin ya, just blast em in the neck![:' (] Ya gotta take out sumtin.
Why don' t you try sticking as much effort into properly tuning your bow as you do looking for a easy way out? Why don' t you break the bow out a little earlier and practice proper shot placement?[:@]

RE: question for DoubleLung55?
hey nub,
lets go to the range and i bet i beat u in a shoot off. i can hit a 1.5 inch circle at 30 yards pretty constant. i know how to place shots and i know how to kill deer. 2" gives u more of an advantage if in case your shot isn' t perfect which happens sometimes. and on the neck thing, i know one guy who only shoots deer at the base of the neck with his bow. he hasn' t lost one yet cause they drop right there. so lay off, i was just curious about what other people had to say on this issue

Hey nub, If u have a problem then just keep it to urself. I told u the a$$ shot was cuz the deer turned , id never actually aim for it and niether would my dad, and i never said i would shoot at the neck. Actually i could prolly shoot a bow better then u! I have been shooting since i was 6. So dont preach to me about shot placement.
