I just moved to the eastern coast of north carolina and havent been able to shoot or hunt for 2 years now due to military duty and finally have some time to really get back at it but i know nothing of the area around here just looking for people to give me any information. thanks for the help

Try the Roanoke Game lands near Williamston or Crotan Forest...

Plenty of land and deer down east, problem is the big dog hunting clubs tie it up...

I'm in Wilmington, was stationed at Camp Lejeune before and stayed here. Last year a buddy and me hunted at Holly Shelter. Didn't get anything, got fed up with the guys running dogs with no regards to other hunters and tearing around the gameland roads like a dang nascar race. Nothing like getting into your spot nice and early, only to have a bunch of inconsiderate idiots show up at prime time.

So this year we joined a hunting vlub in enfield, about 2 hours away.

There are other gamelands, just check the website, they have interactive maps.
