Archery Shops
I was just curious how many archery shops there are in your town? We have about two only in a town that has 258,000 people in it (its on the map, look in Central CA area)

RE: Archery Shops
We have a few but not in town the closest one is about 10 miles away. We have a population of about 1000 maybe. We dont even have stoplights in my town, but we have a small bass pro shops store.

RE: Archery Shops
We dont even have stoplights in my town You would kill yourself where I live.[:o] This was in a local paper a few months ago. Within 40 miles from my house there are: 47 7-11' s 5 large shopping malls 5 home depots 78 chinese food takeouts 21 Mcdonalds etc....etc....etc..:D And there are 4 or 5 bow shops in that same range. And yet somehow we still have tons of deer:D:) And I wouldn' t move if you paid me[:-]:) |
RE: Archery Shops
We have two in our town of about 4500. Each small town within 50 miles or so has at least one archery shop.

RE: Archery Shops
You would kill yourself where I live. Theres no stop lights where I live either, but there are 2 bow shops within a 25 mi. radius. You can get your fix on Mathews, Hoyt, Bowtech, PSE and all the goodies that go along with them. |
RE: Archery Shops
As large as Fredericksburg is there is not one real bow shop, the only saving grace is by going only 10 miles out of my way going home from work there is a pretty good one.
|
RE: Archery Shops
I have never actually counted but I would guess that are probably close to a dozen or so within an hour of my home.
|
RE: Archery Shops
Here in the thriving metropolis of Charleston, West " By God" Virginia we actually do not have any, but there are 3-4 within a 1/2 hour drive.
|
RE: Archery Shops
Archery shops come and go and we wonder why. How many of you just go to Walmart for equipment just to save a few pennys? How many would rather give the big stores like Gander, Cabela' s or Bass Pro the money instead of your small shops trying to make a go? In my area, that' s the problem, Walmart will be swamped prior to each season and now it' s Gander. Small shops open and close yearly.

RE: Archery Shops
I guess I am spolied I have two really close by one is actually a half-mile down the road. Walking distance from my house. Great shop dealer is PSE certified technician the guy recently tuned a few bows for the competitors taking part in the USA Archery National Target Championships.
And another with indoor video system is maybe 5 minutes away. |
RE: Archery Shops
The nearest one around here is an hour away:(
|
RE: Archery Shops
Never thought of it but a quick count reveals 7 that I know of within an hours drive of my house, and I' m sure there are several others that I don' t know of.
I' ll hit walmart or Dick' s or GM for little accesories or camo, but for anything dealing with my bow, sights, arrows, release, scents, I' ll hit a real shop. |
RE: Archery Shops
65 miles to my pro shop. It is the only one west of the missouri river in SD. Thankfully I live fairly close and it is a good shop.
|
RE: Archery Shops
the closest is about 14 miles , then there is another that takes 20 mins to get to., then you also have gander mtn. and woodlands outdoor world (it was supposed to be cabelas, but thats another story)
