I don't like mechanical BH's so I'll stay out of this one.

I've always wanted to try to the G5's but it's hard to steer away from my rages. Maybe this year...

I am right there with you on this. I think I will stick with the Rages, mainly b/c I have a bunch.

My buddy uses the G5's and they are just deadly. If I did not have the rages I would probably go with them G5's.

^ X2

I've shot fixed blade and the Rage 2 blades and have settled on the G5 Tekan. Not saying anything is wrong with any of the others, just prefer the flight and the wound of the Tekans.

I have use the swhacker broadheads and they are awesome. Hands down the best broadhead that I have ever shot. I saw the the 30 minute show on tv showing the broadhead comparison test and the swhacker broadhead held up the best. Out performed rage, g5 and others.

lol really?

Just because swhackers now have less than par if you will sponsors from the "Mainstream Hunting TV", as BTM stated, Sonorans have been around for QUITE some time and make some devestating entry and exist holes. Look at the amount of hunters Rage spends 100s of thousands of dollars on to promote their product. If you line 5 broadheads up side by side, and do a comparsion the difference between the worst and best of the 5 would be so small it wouldnt matter which one passed through the deer, they all leave great blood trails and kill deer.

Think of it this way, there are 20 TV hunters 20 have broadhead endorsements who get paid really well to advertise on their TV programs, which of those 20 are going to switch, none. They chose people who have a small name in the hunting community to help get their name out better than when they were just "sonorans."

Just to give you an idea, check out the link Buckinthawoods has in his post.

from what i have Hurd is that the swackers dont fully open on impact so they have a very small entrance hole. that may not be two bad unless you hit bone and dont get a pass trough with no exit. in that case there wont be much blood trail to follow. but i have never shot them just here say.
