what kind of lube for axles?

I used to have my axles regreased at a proshop, but recently I read that some use a teflon spray lube. Does this work as well as grease? Please elaborate....
Thanks:)

Any grease that you put on the axels is going to attract dirt. Lube your axels with graphite powder. If you have axels with sealed bearings then no lube is needed or desired at all.

I tend to agree with the above post to some extent. Both graphite powder and teflon lube have worked well for me in recent years.

I just bought a bottle of teflon powder spray for $3.75. I put it on my cable gaurd, and my axles. it stopped the noise I was gettin from my cable slide, and they say it gets down in the cracks N crannys better than other similar lubes. you can get it at any sports store.:D
