I wonder how he managed to shoot it in the liver instead of the lungs at just a few feet away.

So amazing! I have hunted moose once before & it was by far my most exciting trip I have ever been on. I can't imagine being a couple feet away from a monster like that...

Awesome video. You see him dodge after the shot. That would be tough not knowing which way he is going to go. You would think he would run away from the threat. But, who knows until the arrow is released.

Agreed, I pointed that out on another site and a guy got ticked off claiming that it wasn't shot in the Liver and Guts... Sure looks like Liver/guts to me, and the penetration was HORRID for a liver/guts shot, maybe that's why he shot it back.... :confused0024:

wow i could not imaging having that huge of a moose that close, that's incredible!!

Why didn’t his arrow penetrate further? Is that common in moose hunting or was his arrow just dull? Bet it took a while for that bull to die?

To get good penetration at a very close distance, one must have an extremely well tuned bow and even then an arrow has not had time to stabilize so penetration can be greatly affected.



Plus this is not a deer, it is a much tougher animal that is much tougher to penetrate.

10 to 1 says he got lungs on that shot. Some of you act like this Is a chip shot. That bull was pissed. I would've been ****ting my pants!!

up close and personal , what maybe 2 yards , not a "chip shot" by any means the shooter has major skills , being 2 yards from a couple thousand pounds of pissed moose and making that shot through that thick brush is very difficult
