Early Season Attractant

What are some good cover scents or attractant to use for early season bow hunting? From Oct.1 till pre-rut. Or is that considered pre-rut? I hunt in Northeastern Indiana.

Chooch ,
I live in Milltown in Harrison Co. Try persimmons as an attractant , they' re ready about then . Don' t put them where the deer can reach them , that would be baiting . If you can find some pawpaws they work well too . I use them to attract does , and does attract bucks . [8D] If you can' t find ripe persimmons in time look for japanese persimmons at Kroger or other larger grocery store . They taste and smell the same , but are larger and seedless .
