Back support while hunting?

Anyone else here have a bad back that gets sore while hunting? It doesn' t matter if I sit, stand or whatever, my back gets sore. I was thinking of wearing one of those belts like lifting weights. Has anyone tried this amd what were your results?

RE: Back support while hunting?

Wimp, I got 5 herniated disc in my lower back and they hurt regardless but I tell you what hurts them the most, 1. Sitting in a soft back chair, such as a recliner. I sit in a straight back rocking chair at home. 2. Bending over more than couple of minutes gurantees a visit for a epederal steroid or acupunture. 3. Lifting something out in front of me.
I' ve got a summit goliath tree stand and if I slouch in it at all it hurts my back, I have to sit very straight.
The belts will make your back weaker because it doesn' t allow your muscles to do their work.
If you have a lower back problem, try these excercises.
1. Lay flat on floor on your stomach with hands and arms extended out pass your head and your feet together. (Your whole bodies in a straight line). Raise your right hand and arm and at the same time raise your left leg, keeping it straight as possible. Let it down and raise your left arm and hand and at the same time raise your right leg. Do it about 20 times every day and you' ll build up the muscles around your lower back to support the disc.
2 Also, Do pushups but leave the lower half of your body on the floor. Just push up with your hands but don' t let your hips come up. Hold that for 10 seconds and do it about 10 times.
This stuff helps my lower back.
I also got a screwed up back right below my shoulders and except for popping it back in place, I just suffer with it.
Good luck,
