Wanted to share a pic of my lifelong dream of taking a Pope and Young Buck. Nov 7 in Ohio.

That is absolutely a fantastic deer. A deer of a life time. Congrats. But if you shot it with a switchback, it won’t be accepted by Pope and Young. Too much let off. OR that is how it use to be, noting over 60% let off..

First off, fantastic Deer

Second, thats not correct... P&Y as of 2004 will allow greater then 65%, its just listed with an Asterixs

thanks everyone. i shot him with a switchback xt and used a G5 Montec broadhead. i made a good shot and he ran about 75 yards and piled up. this was a DIY hunt that my dad and i went on. we hung our own stands, did our own scouting etc, so i am very happy with this buck. we scored him at 139 4/8 gross. hope to get him officially scored this March at the Dixie Deer Classic (and hope they find another half inch lol).
