Feeling the need for speed? Try Jacksons, I think he has some shaft calculators in his site. http://home.att.net/~sajackson/archery.html

RE: 350 gr?
I have been pleasantly surprised at how good the PSE Carbon Force Dominators shoot and hold up. Mine are the 300' s w/ feather fletchings and weigh about 352 grains at 28" w/ a 100 grain head. I think at 30" with an 85 grain head would be about the same.........as long as that is spined correctly for your set up !

RE: 350 gr?
I shoot goldtips and I like em...I think they are a little heavier than what you are looking for but check their website...they also have calculators. I can' t believe how strong they are...they only thing I' ve seen that tears them up is putting another goldtip right in the nock of the first...I' ve had a coulpe misses, and missed my target....went through the sheathing(of my garage ) and smack into the brick...sure tears up the field points but the arrows are good as new.

RE: 350 gr?
Question. Are these arrows for hunting of target.
sounds like you need a shaft weight of about 225 grains. This is assuming you are using vanes. That means you are going to need an arrow the weighs about 7.5 grains per inch. I do not know you set up or bow but you are going to have a hard time getting that weight and a correctly spined arrow. Assuming you are shooting about 65 lbs, most of the arrows weight at least 8 grains per inch. Some suggestion for a 65 lbs bow, hard cam, and your specified arrow. Arrow dynamics .395 magnum yellow. Carbon Express CXL 250. Easton ACE 430 or 400 I like the fatter Arrow dynamics and CX shafts for fletching clearance. I have shot the CXL as a 3D arrow. For hunting, I would use the gold tip or one of the Black Hawk hunting shafts that are a larger diameter. If I remember right they are pretty light. Hope this helps. |
