Draw Length Question.

Im kinda new to bowhunting and haven't been able to find a bow with a draw length that is right for me. Im 6'6 What should my draw length be? Does anyone know that is tall or just anyone in general have a estimated opinion or answer?

divide your wing span by 2.5..gl haf

^ so thatd be 78" divided by 2.5 is just over 31". Try there and see how it feels

Really depends on your stance/ position, what your comfortable with.
Can try this.
With a tape measure, hold one end with forward hand, hand that's holding the bow,
Other end hold with drawing hand,
In position drawing hand should come back somewhere around your cheeck,
Then try a few bow a close to that range, if it lands at 31" try 30"-32" or so.

Cool Thanks Guys. Its Rare to find anything over 31 :( So I hope that works.

31" should work. You may have to tie on a longer D loop if it is too short because not many bows are longer than that.

While most folks don't shoot longer than 31", asking us to tell you what your correct d/l is.....that ain't gonna work. Go to a reputable shop, and get fitted properly - and try out some bows while you are there.

What WV Hunter said - Go to a pro shop and let them resolve that issue for you. This is critical in your experience as a bowhunter. If you are shooting a bow that isn't fitted properly it will let you down when you need it the most.

when i was looking for my bow i went and got fitted. im only 6'3 but i have a 6'7 wingspan and ended up with a draw length of 31 1/2. i just settle with the 31 and got a new anchor point. the guys will take take and get the bow set up for you. i watched my buddy try and draw my old bow but he could never get it back far enough because of his shorter draw length
