Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
Specifically, this one?-
http://www.kwikeekwiver.com/kwikee7.html I' m thinking about getting it, but would love to hear some input from current users first. Thanks! :) |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I don' t use that one in particular, but I' ve always used a kwickee kwiver. I have no complaints about them. They are quiet and hold my arrows securely. I have never shot my bow with a quiver on, and wouldn' t no matter what brand it was.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
Like wimp, I' ve always used a Kwikee quiver too. Even with my new bow and all new accessories, the only thing I didn' t replace was the quiver. I practice without a quiver and I always remove my quiver once I' m in my stand. It' s pretty much just used for transport.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I have that model, but the inside of the top is a little different. That one looks like it would work a little better. I also don' t shhot with quiver on and could only assume the KQ wouldn' t be the quietest out there if you did so.
I like the way the arrow is gripped both high and low, this allows for use of mechanicals without wedging it into a foam head. I carry my bow inside a soft case when riding my 4 whlr and the zipped up soft case will provide enough side pressure to the quivered arrows to pop them out of the top grabber. This is my only beef with this set up. I also place a small piece of camo tape between the metal tang of the reciever(the thing the red nub is attached to that you place your finger on for quiver removal) and the plastic of the reciever. This will deaden any possible noise made while shooting with the quiver off. |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I have this one, too. It' s quiet and holds both fixed blades and mechanicals securely. I wish it would hold more arrows, but I' ll probably never shoot more than 4 at one time, so I' ll deal with it.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I would like more arrow holding ability also. I' ve been know to fling some arrows on a single hunt!!

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I use the 6 arrow and the 3 arrow. I do not shoot with it on and am not completely satisfied with the way it holds field points but it holds broadheads great.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
Cotton, due the one' s you use have the second gripper like the one I posted the link to?
I think that would help with the issue you mentioned... |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
Yea I use one like that I have round holes in the bottom where the tips go. They hold the arrows good. If I shoot with it on the bow it makes noise though. I always take mine off when in a tree..

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
It has worked great for me for two years. I just unscrew it once I' m in my stand and attach it to the adapter to hang it on the tree. Holds arrows great. No complaints here!

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I have the 6 arrow version. It worked out good for me. I shoot with it on the bow. It' s pretty quiet. Last year I was able to get a second shot at an elk. He didn' t even notice anything after the first shot.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I use that one also but remove it for shooting when in my stand.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I' ve used my kwikee for years, and never really had a complaint. The only thing is that mine has a rubber mat with smalls holes in the bottom, which is getting kinda cut up, but it seems to be still holding. Also, if you shoot mechs, then the holes in the bottoms kinda swallows the tip while walking, which sometimes causes the o-ring to snap. But honestly by far I think the best quiver I ever used.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
i have been using the kwikee for years.however, mine is several years old and does not have the locking feature.i hang mine to my tree after settling in for the hunt.the only gripe i could offer is the model i have will come loose while walking to the stand in thick stuff.

RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
wikee is the only quiver I' ve ever used (22 years bowhunting). I only two years ago bought a new one when I started shooting carbon arrows. They work great and hold up. In the tree, I use the screw in adapter and hang the quiver on the tree.
Although I haven' t used the exact model you' re talking about, I' m sure it' s a quality product if it' s a Kwikee quiver. |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I use a three arrow one and I really like it..
Try this link they got them on sale [link]http://bbrothersc.zoovy.com/product/KWIK1[/link] Anyway' s I thank it' s the one your asking about. |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
Yep, I got that EXACT same one :D
I love the thing. Like the others said, it is quiet (not with it on when shooting). It secures to the bow very well and will not rattle on the way into the woods. The design is good, but, I too wish it had slots for 6 different arrows (I just like the looks of a packed quiver better :D) The thing really really holds my arrows in place. I have had Thunderheads and field points attached to BlackHawk Vapor arrows in my quiver and they never budged. The arrows can be tricky to get in and out when you first get the thing. After some use, it loosens up a bit and allows you to put your arrows in more easily, but it is still plenty stiff enough to keep your arrows in place. I have a bracket which I will be putting on my tree-stand so I can take it off and just lock the quiver on the side of my stand when I am hunting. This is a great feature for these quivers. Also, the extra bracket and moutning system isn' t expensive at all. |
RE: Anyone using a Kwikee Quiver?
I' ve used one for the past 15 years are so.The newer one with the 2nd grabber would be better if you leave it on the bow to shoot. It would probably be a little easier to get an arrow out one handed for a second shot on the older style with one gripper.
