Default Best Binoculars for Bowhunting

Submitting Christmas wish list to wife and want to include a pair of binocs that is most suitable for bowhunting. Any recommendations? I did a search on multiple forums and didn't come up with anything very instructive.

Thanks

With optics you usually get what you pay for. Buy the most expensive pair o
f 8x or 10x you can afford. I would recommend 8x in heavily wooded areas and 10x with more open ground. Many will argue the point but IMHO Swarovski is hands down the best. If they are out of your price range, try posting on the optics thread and see what others recommend. Good luck.

I got some Leupold 10x42 Gold Rings this year before season opened, and I absolutely love them! Tried a few others that friends owned, including these, Zeiss Conquest, Nikon Monarch and Bushnell Elite, and the Leupold's were my favorite. They are a little on the heavy side, but not at all bothersome when using them with a harness system. Fantastic optically, and the warranty is absolutely unbeatable.

Try some Pentex 10x or 8x. They are medium weight and really pick up light well and the clarity is top notch. I've looked through German/Europe brand glasses that are really expensive like Swarvoski/Zesis/Lica and these came the closest to them. I've owned the higher end glasses from Nikon/Luepold/Bushnell brands and I still thought these pentex were a bit better when it came to clarity and picking up more light. Like Mr.Hunter 59 said "you pay for what you get". If you never have picked up a 1500$ pair of Swarvoski and compared them to the top end retail binos like Nikon/Bushnell

Thanks for the recommendations. I have been putting off getting a quality pair of binos for way too long. I know they add a significant dimension to bowhunting.

I'm Using a bushnell sportsman and while only costing about $50 Bucks has made me drop my jaw at least 4 times while remarking on it's incredible clarity. If your not looking to break the bank and still get a good set of binos the I would recommend them all the way.
