Almost happened but still a great morning!
 

It was in the 40s with a little wind in oklahoma this morning. I had been in the stand only thirty minutes when a small buck with only half a rack came through(passed). About thirty minutes later three does came in. They walk around to behind my treestand and stood there. I then heard something running and I looked up to see a nice 8 point running out of the brush into my shooting lane. I thought the does weren't looking at me so i drew back my bow but when i did one of the does saw me and they blew. The buck took off running but I managed to stop him but as my luck goes he stopped in a spot where a branch was in my way. After standing there a while he ran away. Later I tied my rope to my bow and let it down to the ground. As I was climbing down the ladder I looked up and a nice buck was just strolling on through.....I felt dumb at that moment. I climbed back up and set in my stand for a bit longer. Happy with what I had seen I climbed down and called it a day. Hunting is getting good! Hopefully I'll have the same luck tomorrow. Gotta love those hunts and good story! That is the reason why Im obsessed with bowhunting. It used to be my hobby but now its way more then that.
