Will he go 160 or am I just wishing??

Will he make 160??

Either way I am gonna try to hold out for him if I keep getting pics of him.

dusters84 11-08-2010 07:44 AM

He will be right around 160 I think. Really good height on the g1's g2's and g3's, small g4's though, and it doesn't look like he has a ton of mass.

Ohio Bowhunter75 11-08-2010 08:49 AM

I think he will.He has some great height,he lacks some mass.

mgreen81 11-08-2010 09:14 AM

Looks like he should be close. What he lacks in mass he makes up for with the long main beams, width and height.

ManofTheFall 11-08-2010 09:30 AM

What people are forgetting is the main thing that gives a better score is tine length. You can have a heavy massed buck with short tines that won't score very well. But, if you have a skinny racked 10 point with really long tines he will score very good. I think that buck will hit between 150" and 160".

halfbakedi420 11-08-2010 09:55 AM

definitely 160's

TeamWiscoUNIT61 11-08-2010 02:23 PM

He will make 160 easy. He does lack a Little bit of mass but, lol there isnt much to say he's lacking but yea the height and width will get him there definitely

Damon 11-08-2010 02:26 PM

Rack like that I wouldnt care!

wvOHIOfan 11-08-2010 03:15 PM

He will make 160 in my opinion.

SwampCollie 11-08-2010 03:35 PM

Sorry but I kinda doubt he will net it. He MIGHT gross it. But G1s have too much difference and he will probably suffer at least 8" due to his lack of mass. It takes a monster 8pt to make 160. I've scored some tremendous 8pts (I am a measurer for BC and PY) and I have yet to see one clear 160 net. I have scored one that came close.... it was 157 and change.... and it was awesomely big... I'd have rather had it than some of the ten and 12s I've scored that cleared 170 to make the book.

I can tell you this much about that buck... he won't score crap until you kill him. And I'd for sure whack him... what a gorgeous deer!

blakefrautschi 11-08-2010 05:09 PM

i would guess him over 160 no doubt

bigcountry 11-08-2010 05:26 PM

Goodness gracious what a brute. I don't know, I have yet to see a guy like that in teh woods. In 25 years of hunting.

huntingkidPA 11-08-2010 05:55 PM

nice buck but in my opinion i think its rather ugly, obviously id shoot it but it just looks so awkward! hope you get him!!!

make up your mind!!!!

I will probably never get a shot at him but I will give it one hell of a try all 9 days of rifle season if I don't let the air out of him with my bow this weekend. I would like nothing better than to be able to put my hands on him.

I took a close look using the rule of thumb: '7 1/2 inches from the corner of the eye to the tip of the nose. This is what I come up with.

He's a stud for sure. I hope you get him so I can see how close my guesstimate was. Good luck.

I think this is fairly close, but I'm thinking those G2's are over 12". I'd say 13" for G2 and 11" for G3. I think the beams are over 25" as well.

EASILY grosses over 160.

I'm not seeing 13" G2's or 11" G3's. If the beams are longer than 25" it isn't by much. Either way, he's a shooter.

okieshooter 11-09-2010 07:47 AM

wvOHIOfan you put some work into it. Thanks and I agree he is a shooter regardless. If I am lucky enough to see him and I am looking at the horns he prolly won't gross about 80 after I shoot because I will likely knock one side off anyway.lol

okieshooter 11-09-2010 07:53 AM

I think the spread is 21-22 inches but I may be wrong. I used the 7 1/2 inch rule on the pic with his head down and see it about 22.

Allen Denton 11-09-2010 08:04 AM

I would say 155 or there abouts. Not much mass but a very nice deer.

Canuck33 11-09-2010 08:31 AM

I bet he will for sure

Stonewall308 11-09-2010 08:37 AM

Who cares? That is the buck of a lifetime for most people.

I hope you harvest him so we can see how close our estimates are. Best of luck!

My thoughts exactly..

Hope you kill-em. I'd love to see him on the back of a truck.

BIGBUCK17 11-10-2010 09:17 PM

You got a nice buck on your hands!!! i would have to agree with somewhere around 160. Get him on the ground so we can get an official score!!!
