Is this a yearling???
I have pics of does bigger than him. He has no brow tines and is a 6 point. If he is as young as I think he has some good genetics I guess.
![]() Thanks for any opinions guys. I think I should let him walk unless my daughter gets a good shot at him. She is 7 and we are on a lease with 100 other people that WILL shoot if they see him. |
he looks like he is small bodied but if he is a yearling those are some good genetics
Wow does he have a tiny body, looks to be a young buck with good genetics.
I once saw a fawn that still had spots on it.. I couldnt believe he had a 3 inch spike on top of his head. A few years later my cousin found a dead buck that scored 187 right in that area. I think it may have been that little fawn I saw although there still are some super sized bucks right around there.
He has an awfully long nose to be a yearling, but just my opinion.
No way that buck is a yearling with that mass. I agree the body size is small for those horns!
I won't shoot him unless I can tell he is an older deer that is just small but he better not let my little girl see him.
My ma has been seeing two tiny bucks with what she says "giant racks" on them. Wonder if it's something like what you've got going here because that's a TINY body and a pretty darn nice rack. For the size of the body that is.
Your lease literally has 100 other people on it, or are you just exaggerating? How many acres is it?
my buddy saw a young 12 point (said it didnt have much mass but the genetics are there) saturday he said next year should be a bruiser but he passed knowing there are bigger bucks
