no way on a yearling, some where between 2-3 years old...in texas the deer are small bodied, thats why the racks looks so big lol
he has a year or so, he will develop brow tines and be a nice 10, let em go and try again in a few years. i defiantly know the mentality of someone else will kill him if i dont, so yall just have a good time.

We have right at 100 members. Each member is allowed to bring immediate famly: children and wife. The acreage is about 34,000 so plenty of room for all.

He has allot of white around his eyes and his nose to be young. I'd say he is as big as he is going to get. But I don't know anything about Texas deer trates... Maybe just a runt with big antlers...

Gotcha, 1/2 section each hunter is plenty. This isn't in Eastern OK is it? If so, is it the Fisher Ranch?

southeast OK, blackfork mountains.

Most likely, this is just a buck with some bad genetics to not have brow tines. Also, it may just be malnourished to have a smaller body. If its in the mountains, there is most likely not any farms and food plots?

okieshooter 11-08-2010 07:28 PM

No farms or food plots but plenty of graze and acorns. If his size is from genetics he needs taken out. Either way I hope my daughter gets a shot at him. Heck by the end of season I may be glad to get a shot at him.

This just sparked a memory of a deer I saw last year... was the WEIRDEST thing I've ever seen...

I was driving along for work and suddenly I see this deer, that wasn't much bigger than a jack russell terrier... hobbling along up a ditch. I stopped my truck and watched it for a good 5 minutes. This thing was TINY! It didn't have any spots, and I don't think it was a fawn from that year... is it possible that it was a dwarf? It was really bizarre.

that is at least a 2&1/2 yr old dear. Even still he has nice mass. I'd agree that if anything its more of a malnourished than a yearling with Good genetics. Nice looking buck tho

his brow tines will come in eventually
