Default Illinois buck

Well guys this year is turning out to be an awesome year of hunting for me. Ive been seeing at least 5-10 deer everytime ive been going out. Well this morning i got up at 4:30 ate some breakfast and took a quick shower and then geared up. I decided to hunt a stand in the bottoms that has been a great stand this year so far. I got set up and was ready to go by 6:30. Around 7:15 i look up to see a big bodied deer cruising the woods. I hit the grunt call and he was on top of me in a matter of seconds. He then started walking the old creek bed in front of me that the deer use to travel and he was walking perfectly to one of the lanes i had cut earlier this summer. As he got to the gap i grunted and he just kept walking. He kept on walking and stopped behind a tree. So i waited and he started walking again. At this point i wasnt to sure of what i was gooing to do because there were no more lanes and he was going to continue to walk to creek bed. I was lookingg and i found my opportunity, a small gap that i could sneak an arrow through if i could get him to stop perfect. Well lets say the good lord was looking down on me because when i grunted again he stopped perfectly and i released the arrow. I knew i had hit him, but it was a little back and high but the arrow exited low and i ended up destroying both lungs, he ran about 150yds before piling up. He isnt the biggest deer but he had a bad limp and we decided to take him if we had the chance. Here is a picture of him.
