RE: Which mechanical broadheads
Bradshy77, Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy it.
For me I love my shockwaves 100 they are just devistating on the two deer I have used them on with no complaints. They fly just awesome out to my max hunting distance of 45 yards. 5 shot is our resident expert as you can do a search or mechanicals and you will have more than enough to read about for a couple hours. The search button is in the upper right hand corner just click and have some fun. There is usually some kind of KE minimum that you should have for mechanicals but there are also options for people who have lower KE. So get some coffee and a sandwhich of some kind and enjoy some fine reading.;) Brian |

RE: Which mechanical broadheads
I can' t recomend a mechanical head until I know your exact setup. That said if you go to www.broadheadtests.com you will find a section that should help you decide if a mechanical is right for you. After that If you know your KE level I can give you some good heads that should work with your setup.

RE: Which mechanical broadheads
I dont use mechanicals for deer myself but the guys I hunt with in Pa use vortex minimax 75 grain heads and they work well out of a 65 lb bow shooting 28 inches . They shot 2 deer the week I was up last year and nither one went more than 30 yards .

RE: Which mechanical broadheads
I had good results with Shockwaves by New Archery Products.

RE: Which mechanical broadheads
I have been impressed with spitfires.

RE: Which mechanical broadheads
Every deer i have shot so far with a bow has been with rockets. I like the hammerheads for their hue cutting diameter. Although i shoot 60 lbs they do the job. Also i have been looking at spitfires. But no matter which ones rocket has a nice selection.
