i had a good encounter with a decent buck but he didnt come my way and seen a few doe. i will stop being picky after this weekend and hope to get a doe down early for freezer meat. Then on to strictly chasing the big boys

A guy I know shot the first two deer of his life last night. The first was a button buck and the next was a 161" buck. Talk about a good hunt.

I got this doe on 7:30 am Friday morning.

I'm on earn-a-buck property so not only am I happy about having fresh venison... but now I can look for bucks too. (tho' I haven't been back out since that morning)

She's a 'fun-sized' doe. Not a fawn, but only 88lbs field dressed.
