Yes i am sure he is a 5 year old, had him on camera for 3 years now, seen him as a young buck 4 years ago.... Why dont you guys believe me? Im from Northern Wisconsin and he doesnt look very fat this year... 2 years ago he was a stud for body weight, wolves must of ran him most of the winter....

i believe you, but if i personally saw the deer i would guess him at 3.5 or maybe 4.5 judging by the mass of the antlers.

ya i agree, but the thing is, is that we have alot of woods, barely any fields up here, and rolling hills.. SO alot of hardwoods, they dont get alot of nutrition to really grow them huge. and the monsters that are out there, they dont like to move because of all the wolves... i want to shoot every one of them damn things!

I don't think anyone said they didn't believe you. We were all just giving our opinion as you asked.

It's not that I didn't believe you. When I saw the deer I figured him to be 4. Where I'm from I've seen 2 year olds grow racks like these. Now that you have explained yourself above, I understand.

I'm guessing 115-120.

He looks like about 115-120 to me. Around here, I'd be taking the first high percentage shot I got at him since that's representative of a "good one" in most of the areas I hunt - and I have a second tag available if I want to get more choosy on a second buck. However, the state you're hunting has a reputation for producing wall hangers on a pretty consistent basis, so you have to ask yourself if he's as good as you'll likely see during the season . . .

Id say 115, I wouldn't say P&Y tho. Regardless, a nice deer!

not very many "wall hangers" up where i hunt at... the only place there is alot of wall hangers is at Buffalo, and pepin counties..

He may have been wounded at some point too. Shot by another hunter or something. I shot a buck a few years back that was a 3.5 year old (Teeth) and looked like a 1.5 because arrow wound in his neck. Couldnt tell until I noticed little scars.
