Losing arrows.

I am taking a course in high school called Engineering Design and Development. I am spending the course of this year in a team developing a solution to a problem that we have defined. We are putting out a survey where ever we can for hunters or target shooters to take. Please take the time out of your day to go to this link and fill out this survey.

Thank you for your time.

Did the survey. Good luck.

Thank you very much.

Done. I'm assuming you guys are bowhunters, so good luck on this project and this bow season.

Took it. Good luck with the course and this season.

Done. OP - What type of arrow recovery system you looking at, does it involve sound, light...etc. Be nice to know a few details of your project idea.

Done. If you like the class, look seriously into the engineering field and pursuing a degree... Well worth your time:)

BTW, just to be effective, remember, that any extra weight added to an arrow is typically not good, so try to design a system that is light.

Done. I have only lost one arrow in the past 4-5 years and that is because the ground hog took it under the storage building with him. I didn't hit him exactly where I wanted to. My dogs did get it back for me though but, it was chewed into many pieces....lol

H.L.H 09-23-2010 06:54 PM

Done. Good luck

Took it also hope i helped

Thanks for all the advice and for taking the time out of your day to take the survey.

*Twodogs* - We won't know if we can even do the project until we know it's a valid problem. We're not even allowed to think of ideas yet.

HardwoodHunter 09-29-2010 08:37 AM

done, good luck!

In addition to the weight mentioned earlier... If you can incoroparte your idea into say an insert, or the front of the arrow behind the insert, you will get more archers in favor of it. Aside from helping to find arrows you will also aid in increasing FOC.

Survery done... #4 is a bit skewed, some of shoot arrows that are Aluminum and Carbon Fiber...specifically Easton FMJ's...

Done hope it helps
