Alaska regs??
 

I was looking at some pics on New Archery' s website and it showed some Moose taken with Spitfire Mechanical. I was under the impression that Alaska didn' t allow mechanicals for big game??

Man, I' m glad you brought that to my attention. I just read the AK regulations and mechanicals are allowed for Black-tailed Deer, Wolf, wolverine, Black Bear, Dall Sheep and Caribou.

Mechanicals are NOT allowed for Mountain Goat, Moose, ELk, Brown/Grizzly Bear, Muskox and Bison.

I guess that puts an end to my post about broadhead selection.

I guess somebody should contact New Archery Products and tell them they have an picture of an ILLEGALLY harvested Moose on their website!!![:o][:o][:o]

It hasn' t always been illegal. It just changed a couple of years ago. I don' t remember if it was 2000 or 2001.
