one thing only......
 
other than my bow, arrows, release. My bow holster, connected to my pistola belt. When I shoot one, I use the time to wait by going back to get my field dressing equipment and anything I need to get the animal back. Don't use a flashlight to and from my stands. Don't move while I'm in my stands.:s13:

Doe pee
Rope to drag a deer
T-paper. Wife would kill me if I used my good hunting sock to wipe my tush, lol...
Extra pair of gloves
small folding saw to cut limbs
Light
deer tags and a pen
cell phone
Some times a small silent electronic game (yahtzee)
Knife and field dressing gloves
Range finder

Grunt call, binocs,range finder, kodiak knife pac,home made cover scent,pen,wet wipes, water, and sometimes lunch.

man... what don't i bring. thermocell, light, knife, calls, cell phone, scent dispensors, slingshot (pesky cows), even have a camo bible.

I carry a day pack....
buck folding knife 110
soduko game
tp
2 bottles water
breath mints
tags and wire to tag deer
rattle bag
grunt tube
can call
gps.... yes someday you might need it
hand saw
small first aid kit including space blanket
deer scents
dry socks /spare gloves /ski mask style hat
food if its an all day sit
cell phone
binoculars.. one long range 8x40... the other is small pocket size
small package of baby wipes

Gps got my bud and i out of the woods after tracking a gut shot deer for 2 hours in the dark... in a driving snow storm....

first aid kit with duct tape saved a weekend in the adk mountains when i cut my hand sawing a piece of wood.

baby wipes make it nice to clean up after field dressing a deer... just look for the unscented ones.

Besides the bow, arrows and release, I usually have:

- Folding limb saw
- Binos
- Range Finder
- Cell phone
- 2 way radio
- Knife
- Ruger Sp101 .327 (public land hunting)
- Retrieval rope
- Safety harness (wearing)
- Rubber canteen, 2 quart
- Pen, license and tag
- Extra snivel gear (depends on the weathe forecast)
- Chemical heater packs (weather dependant again)
- A cereal bar and apple or banana
- A stand umbrella (weather dependant)
- Headlamp
- TP

Flashlight and dead sled in car.
