Yet again
After 4 sits at a spot we had pics of a 10 point at and not seeing a thing I moved. I relocated to my usual spot a few towns away and had the first doe come
around 530. Two more came out behind me and started to play aroun at about 40 yard as i was watching them i heard something to my right when i looked down there was a 4 point10 yards away. He stood there looking right at me it seemed like eternity till he moved. He walked slowly behind me and stopped I drew back and let him have it he trotted maybee 10 yard and stood there for like ten minutes blowing and making those goat noises. I waited for him just to fall over but he walked slowly off after a long look I found my arrow buried in the ground up to the nock and as usual guess what no blood. I have missed 5 deer now over the last few years with the bow. I practice alot in the yard i must not have good form when they are under me. |
I was watchign a show today, they said when you practice, focus on the first shot you make because thats the only one that counts in the woods. Makes sense to me, if I were you id find a way to get elevated at home and pratice shooting from different angles just as you would in the tree. Good luck.

This could be due to several factors. Did you keep your focus on the sight or did you move the focus to the deer or arrow before the arrow was completely in flight? Did you move your head or the bow to see where you hit before the arrow was completely in flight? Is there a difference in your draw length when you are shooting down at a good angle?
