Hunting here in Iowa, I use a 20, 30, & 40.
When I go out west I add a 50 & 60.

One pin is really nice! My bow shoots 285 fps. I use one pin set at 20 yards.

I shoot a Copper John Dead Nuts Pro with 5 pins but I only us 3 of them for 20, 30, and 40 yards, but I do know the other two are good for 50 and 60 yards. I have the extra pins for 3D shooting, I won' t shoot at anthing in the woods over 30yards.

Just started using 2 pins, one at 20 and one at 40. When shooting approx 30 yrds
I put the target between the 20 and 40. So far, I like this set-up.

Not sure what my bow speed is but I shoot 410 grn arrow out of a Mathews Legacy set at 65#.

HHA5000 optimizer-single pin-20yd.-60yd.Also used a Copper-Johns dead nuts 3-pin set at 20,30,40yds when I go to fixed pin sight.

1 at 20 yards and 1 at 30. Have no idea how fast my bow is, but 30 yards is my max comfortable hunting range.

I just put a forth pin on for a 50 yard shot (practice only).

My other pins are set from an elevation at

8 yards
18 yards
28 yards

The bow shoots around 240 FPS and I shoot arrows that are 700 grains, 70 pound pull 32" draw.

Currently, I have 3 pins set at 20, 40 and 60 yards for practice purposes. By the time the season starts, I' ll have them set at 20, 30 and 40 yards.

I use a pendulum which has one pin. Good fom 0-25 yds, no need for me to shoot further.

I use a crosshair sight on an adjustable range sight with a distance scale on the backside. I just slide the pointer to the distance I am shooting and shoot. It works great!!!

last year it was 10, 20 and 30, this year it' ll be 20, 30 , and 40......not that i' ll ever use my 40 yard pin, just to dang thick, but it' ll be there if i ever need it.....

I use just 1 pin on a Impact Cosmic set at 22 steps (about 22 yards). I' m not going to shoot anything that' s outside my effective range anyway(about 30 steps). I also use the step method for measuring distance since I don' t carry my tape measure to the stand location.

I shoot 2 pins 20 & 40 on my HCA 4Runner Extreme at 70# and 5.8 grains per #. The 20 is actually dead on from 10-30 and the 40 is good from 35-45. The bow shoots awesome fast and hits like a Mack Truck!!! Shoot this setup both 3D and hunting

Four pins at ten yard increments starting at 20 yards. I' m shooting upper 280' s but I like the exactness of a pin for each distance.

20,30,40,50 & 60 yard pins....Don' t use the 50 and 60 yard pins much, but they are there when I want them...

I just bought a trophy ridge nitro 3 pin today havent put it on my bow yet.
I will set pins at 20-30-40 my comfort range is 30 right now maybe 40 with
practice. I set my stands up so most shots will be 20 or under.

I have a Vital Bow Gear profix 1 pin sight. My pin is sighted in at 26 yards and I am good with it out to 60 yards.

3 pins: 10, 20, 30. I hunt some very thick timber and hardly get a lane over 30. I' m accurate up to 40 but won' t take a shot more than 30 in the field.
