Average shooting distance
 

I wanted this to be a poll but figured this will work just as good.

What is your average shooting distance?(Yards)

A) 10-19
B) 20-39
C) 40-59
D) 60+

Most hunting shots are under 20yds as I try to set stands as close to20 as possible. but shoot 3d out to 45-50. would never shoot at live game at more than 30.

I' ll practice seriously out to 50-60 yards to re-establish good form(sometimes 80-90 for giggles and to really test that form)Plus shoot a bunch of 3D
When the season rolls around and much more treestand practicing occurs , the bulk of the shooting is 40yds and under, with the majority of that being 30 and under.

All that long range stuff aside I have keeping track of my " Average" shot distance on Whitetails, and its somewhere around 13.5 yards. so I fall into " Group A" for actual shot average.

6 to 18 yards for the past 15 years. Havn' t had to shoot over 15 yards since I can remember.

Practice to 40 yards. Max hunting shot is 30 yards. Average shot range is 17 - 23, and thats the way I like it!!!

I practice out to 60 seriously and sometimes farther for fun, but no more than 30 when hunting, maybe 35 if the conditions are right, but my average hunting shot is probably around 20-25yds.

10 to 39 for me....but havent had a shot at one past 20 yards. Im sighted in for further though.

I practice from 20-60 Mostly 20 and I hunt upwards of 30yds

I have a log of all my bowkills, the average distance is 13 yds. I only have a handful of shots over 20, my longest being 24 yds. I mostly hunt really thick stuff that limits my range.

A) 10-19 for hunting and probably would try B) 20-39 for hunting also
B) 20-39 Practicing and C 40 -59 & 60 or less sometimes...

Never more than 60 yards
