Default Sighting In: Move Rest or Pins?

A bow hunting friend told me once the bow has been set up by the Pro, make adj to the nocking point and arrow rest vs. the sight pins. When I got the bow back fromt he pro, I was shooting my 20 and 30 yd pins at the right level but poi was left 8 inches or so. What needs to be adjusted? I was going to move the sight to the left but I am now wondering if i should be moving the rest to the right.

If he set it up so that your nock height and rest are where they should be for the best arrow flight and your arrows are flying true and grouping together then just move the sight.

Move your pins in the direction of the mistake. Your hitting left so move them left.

If your arrows are flying good, no wobble, don' t touch the rest. Move the pins in the direction your arrows impact from where you aimed.
