Gift for Bowhunter

My husband is an avid hunter with both bow (2yrs) and riffle (13yrs). I' d like some suggestions on what to get him for our anniversary next month. I know very little about hunting. Any suggestions for the ultimate gift for a deer and elk hunter? (I got him a bow target last year, but it wasn' t the type he wanted.)

If it' s in your budget, get him a Elk or a Big Buck hunting trip!!!!! Maybe a new bow or gun. I could go on and on. I think the trip would be really nice.

Wow Megs I think you need to dump your husband and marry me!;)

Okay now on a serious note, what is the budget going to allow, there are things he would love to have that range in price from $20 to thousands!

I was thinking of a cap arround $200. I love the idea of a trip but it' s not in the budget this year.

Actually benhuntin has a great idea, about the gift certificate. It seems that so much stuff in bowhunting is of personal preferences. And I mean everything, I don' t think that everyone here could ever agree on anything. I would suggest a gift certificate from either Redhead (Bass Pro Shop) or Cabelas. You couldn' t go wrong with either one, and they both have a very good assortment of quality hunting needs. There is always something that I would like from both of them.

Megs,

Just remember, what goes around comes around. My dear sweet wife has been buying me stuff for deer hunting for years. Lacross boots, Browning knifes, Game Camera' s, tree stands, guns, ground blinds; all were wonderful gifts. You don' t have to spend much to make a hunter happy, just knowing a wife supports his hunting habit is enough. Well this year is our 20th anniversary and I decided to return all those wonderful things she' s done for me and take her on a Caribbean cruise. I suppose I be headed into one of those duty-free jewelry shops, too. We ' ship' out August 4. Isn' t that special?

I like the gift certificate idea if you don' t already know of something specific he wants. Good luck in your search!!
