Not the biggest rack I have ever shot, but for sure the biggest bodied deer I have ever shot...


He is with a bow and that is all that matters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was out this morning, an almost perfect morning 7mph winds from the W/SW and 34 degrees. He came in at 8 yrds stopped to eat a little I had no shot. Few minutes later he circled around and started heading back the way he came.. Hit him a little to far back.Called my buddy and we decided to give him some time. We gave him 6 almost 7 hours picked up the blood trail . He only went about 200 yrds and bedded down.

Oct. 30, 2010 I shot this 8 point chasin a doe. I heard him grunting down in the valley before I ever saw him. Then watched him for almost 25 minutes before the doe finally looped him around my stand for a shot...

Got my 2010 Bow buck on Oct 31st. I had a mature doe in my sights and as I was drawing on her - this nice 10 point stepped into veiw. I quickly forgot about her and concentrated on him. He dressed 184 lbs, my best to date!

First one with a Barnett Crossbow. I was a skeptic but I injured my hand at work and if it wasn't for the Xbow I would not have an archery season this year. It did an excellant job and I couldn't have been happier. 20 yard pass thru with the Grimm Reaper expandable head. 6pt dressed 160 lbs

Got the 7pt opening day 10/16 and a video of an 8pt. Two weeks later on the 29th I got the 8pt. The 7pt was hit a little far back but was able to finish him off quickly.

Posting this buck for my wife, she was sitting on the ground, shot him from 8.5 yards. Her 1st archery kill. Scored 148 even.

the first ... yes it was a button buck ... didnt know it at the time I shot when his ears were up .. but he was the first after a LONGGGGGG drought!


#2 - buck ... all bow tags used ... now on to antlerless tags that can be used for bow or gun

Not a buck I am extremely proud about....but I am happy to get him out of the woods. This was 1 of 4 inferior bucks we had been seeing and that needed to be taken. This was a special deer because it is the first (hopefully of many) to share with my son.

22 yd, severe quartering away shot (arrow exited right behind left front shoulder) at last light. 9-point buck ran about 40 yards and piled up. 200+ lbs on the hoof. BIG 'UN for North Carolina!

Shot this nice buck the last afternoon of NY archery season... main frame 8 with some trash. Shot 35 yards... went 40 and piled up. Dressed out 172lb and taped out around 127"

Shot this buck, my biggest yet in IL Sunday,Nov 14, 2010 @ 2:00 in the afternoon as he worked out of a nasty thicket into a briar flat on public land. He had nearly no fat on him and his tarsels were powder ball clean. No bark in his antlers either. 146 1/8 gross green score. 15 1/8 G2 on the right side :) - Dave

I thought so too!!! especially after seeing what other bucks are scoring that look smaller than mine. :confused0024:

scored 170. My first buck with a compound bow.

Nov 11 2010, Main Frame 8 with extras.

Took a nice mature doe just before dark last night. I thought the hit was good but waited an hour and a half nonetheless given the weather and snow were on my side for tracking. After warming up and eating dinner, headed back out and no arrow, no blood for the first 50 yards, then sprays of blood occassionally for the next 300 yards or so. I went very slowly and through the woods and along the slough until finally BAM, there she was. Entry is the red spot where my hand is and exit hole was near her rear end on the other side with a muzzy 3 blade. First deer ever in December and probably the biggest doe ever. She was a hoss and a hard drag in the -11 temps but well worth it.

Shot this buck Fri, Oct 29th in WI. 10 pts.....14 1/2 spread......scores 134" shot at 3:25pm while chasing a doe. Was a heck of a week. I Fell while puting up a treestand the Monday before and had 7 stitches in my left hand when I shot this buck. Feel real fortunate to have been able to be out enjoying the WI woods after the fall and then to shoot a nice buck at the same time. Makes for a memorable experience. That is what it is all about.

Nebraska doe management. I had 40 deer filter by me this night (10-10-10). One deer was a 10 point, 170" class brute, at 12 yards-broadside. I decided to help the rancher with his wacked out buck to doe ratio.

This is a buck that I killed on 1-1-11. My daughter was pumped up and my blue lacy (Remington) was so proud. This was his first tracking job, although it wasnt that hard. The deer ran about 50 yards and stayed in the food plot, (but it was dark)! This has been by far my best season with (2) 10 points under my belt. Its going to take alot of hard hunting to top this year!! But that is a sacrifice that I am willing to make!
