Shedding velvet in NY with Pics..
 

Picture of a steuben county buck with his velvet already shed on August 31st..

WOW...... I just got pics off my camera the other day and they where still fully in velvet. And, I just saw one of the buck on my camera 2 days ago when I went back up to set my camera up, and he was still in velvet... Nice looking buck you have there though.....

This was the only buck that didn't have velvet still. Notice my tree stand in the back to the right :wink:

Still in velvet at last check here. Could have changed though gotta get the cams back out after a week long sabbatical lol

was out with the spotting scope 2 weeks ago and spotted a 6 pt out of velvet in Steuben co

i like how the stand is right there and hes in daylight! looks like you may get a shot at him!

Ya I try to minimize any kind of pressure on the deer and only go in the woods to check cameras after September first. ANd I drive the tractor in and leave it running when I go to check the cameras. I think that keeps the mature deer in the area and more likely to show up during daylight hours..

Nice buck, I have been seeing a few pics now with the fuzz off should only be a matter of a couple weeks and all will be polished up
