Do you have kids ?
Kids are gold when asking permission , especaly from older folks

I take my nephew and IMO I get 2 - 3 times the Yes's I was getting from the same people the year before

Me being a land owner i have had alot of people ask me permission to hunt. Most land owners biggest fear of giving permission is that individual getting hurt and then trying to sue. What you could do is type up a contract that you and the land owner both sign stating you wont hold the land owner responsible for any accidents.

agreed. even ask those who said they have somebody hunting if they will let you give them some money.
