Has anyone used the F-15 Fixed Blades???

I was lookin at new broadheads and the Carbon Express F-15 Fixed Blades have caught my eye they look pretty mean, and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with them??

i don't use them, but have seen them... to me they look cheaply made, and i dont really like the double bleeder blade idea, i don't think it would have that great of penetration.

i think i'm talking about the right broad head..

IMO, its a gimmick product. I try never comment on what I haven't used. But I have been a sucker several times on gimmick heads. From BH's that were serreated to 3" cutting. I do not fall for gimmicks anymore and do not pay more than $6/head.

Penetrates the target much better than my MX-4s

I saw these heads on the sportsman guides web sight 3 for 15 bucks, that should tell you something.

"I'll make my opinion of these broadheads solely off the fact that I saw them in a Sportsman's Guide website for $5 per head."

Genius I tell ya.

quality with cx heads can be spotty, but as a rule they are good heads in general. As to the f 15 specifically I have not tried or tested them. I will say that's a lot of cutting surface so penetration will probably be less than most heads of similar diameter. On the other hand you get a lot more tissue damage compared to heads of equal diameters. My overall opinion is it's more of a marketing gimmick than any real advantage, but I am sure they will kill critters just fine, provided you have a fairly heavy setup.

I rec'd 2 of the mechanicals in their free offer.. Fly very well and penetrate well. Haven't shot anything living with them yet... not sure if I'm going to try until I hear some more reviews.

I used them last year (among others) took one doe with the f-15 at 20 yards. Broadside, arrow went in and out breaking a rib on both sides. deer ran 50 yards and flopped. They worked just fine, and we tested them at 60 yards, no adjustment needed flew like field points. I have read reports from people much more knowledgable than me and they say the ferrule is too large for great penetration.

So are they gimmicky? sure.
will they work? sure
Are there better choices out there? sure.

Cant really beat a good fixed blade 2-blade. But i like to try new things occasionally.
good luck
