Do you "Camoflauge" your climber tree stand?
 

How many if you guys try and take limbs up with you to break up your pattern if in a tree that doesn't have much back cover?

I'm thinking of taking some time and tying up some evergreen branches in place next weekend to be ready in October. Waste of time???

If there is no cover i climb higher.

I always try to brush in my set-up, doesn't matter if I'm on the ground or in a tree. Anything I can do to break up the outline and blend in. It has paid off more than once.

basically wanna get rid of anything that looks "straight"..
using an old plastic xmas tree's branches works good, cause they are basically like metal coat hangers, and ya can wrap em around the bars that make up the climber, and they stay outta the way, no drillin or tyeing necessary.
be careful how high you climb, you could end up at 4500 feet and your thermocell will quit working :barmy:

I've never bothered with it. One of the prerequisites for climber trees for me is back cover. With the right background, you don't need anything hanging off of your treestand. I do have the side bags and front bag on my Summit, which perhaps adds come camo. Height is my camo usually.

what i found out that worked really well, is to climb a little higher than ussuall, break a few limbs but leave them hanging, then climb down a little bit so they camoflague you.

Never thought about it. I've always just climbed until I ran into branches. The Christmas tree branches sounds like a crafty idea though.

If I break or cut off a branch I will wedge it in my stand if it's convenient, but if not, i just climb higher.

Not saying I dont see the value in truly breaking up the climber, I'm just too lazy most of the time;)
