I have a NAP quick tune drop away that pretty loud. If I pull it up with my finger and let it fly down as if I released the string it makes a distinctively loud noise. At first I thought it must be hitting my riser, but it wasn't. It is the sudden stop making the noise. Mine is a few years old. I'm sure there are quieter ones. Hope this helps, and good luck.
