Ah! Im in love...
...with my new double bull dark horse!!
After going through two differant blinds within 2 years I decided to just spend the money and get what im paying for. I ordered it off cabelas along with some binoculars and man does cabelas have some wicked shipping. I ordered it monday and they estimated it would arrive 8/10 (which is next tuesday) but it came in the mail two days later.. (today). Oh man, you had to see me! It was like a 8 year old at christmas ripping open his presents! I got that blind out as fast as I could without cutting myself with the scizzors. :D I got the blind out of the carrying bag and right away I could feel that amazing material it had on it. You could tell it was much stronger than that past blind I had. The groundmax vision. They need to send a dvd or something along with the package because I felt retarded trying to get the blind up... I couldn't do it. So I had to search on primos website and they showed you how to do it. The little orange setup paper that came with it wasn't the easiest thing to follow. Well for me anyway. I got it setup in the living room and I got inside of it and hollllly crap is it dark in there. I know im inside but I had it right next to our big deck sliding door and the sun was shinging right in on the blind. I can't wait to get it outside! Another thing.. The silent slide window or whatever you call it is awesome! The blind I had last year you couldn't adjust it.. You had a huge window and I didn't want a huge one. Its nice to be able to make it smaller and to whatever I want. There is a ton of room in there! Plenty for me and a filmer or even me and a couple of smaller people. I heard of some people not liking the camo pattern on it..? Well I seem to like it alot! The last blind I had just had a boring leaf pattern on it. I also like the no wind flaps! My last blind was terrible. One time I was out turkey hunting and all I could hear was the window things hitting the blind. It also had weak magnets on it so the windows would never stay up when the wind was blowing. The dark horse stayed away from the magnets which is a good thing! I also like the nice heavy duty zippers on it. Both of my past blinds the zippers were out within a couple months.. I never did have good luck with zippers..? Maybe this blind will prove differant. If any of you guys wish to add on what you guys like about your dark horse or if you are wishing to get one but have questions to ask. Feel free to speak up. |
i love ours. we got a matrix 360 (basically the older version of the dark horse) and it was really nice but with two big dudes in there it was a cram, this year my dad bought a dark horse and we can easily fit 2 people and a tripod in there and have room to adjust fora shot without making any noise or anything

Im gonna get one before turkey season next year. They look really nice, glad you like yours.

It is a great investment. Its on sale on the cabelas website. :D Just sayin... ;)
StormDogOutdoors, there is plenty of room in the dark horses! I can't wait to get it out and get my filming buddies (mom or dad) in there with me. |
I have the matrix 360 and I love that blind. I have had myself and hunting buddy in there with tripod and bot of us shooting bows. If the Darkhorse is even bigger I might have to check one out. Here is a link to our turkey hunts with our bows. 1st video is fast but with both os us, the 2nd video is a double with bows and jakes. Again what a great blind these are.
