Wrong.
I found them to help stabilize broadheads better and improve my arrows' balance by moving the F.O.C. forward (lighter in the back).
Lighter, stiffer, more durable, and stabilize the same as longer vanes because they have a taller profile and a steeper leading angle.
Less drag, for flatter trajectory at longer ranges, this is definately the vanes you want if using a Whisker Biscuit.

They are very much indeed made and used for hunting.
