Question about stabilizers...
 

What kind is everyone using? I have a cheap trophy ridge stab at the time, but am planning on upgrading in the not too distant future. What recommendations do you all have? I am shooting a Mathews Outback at 30" and 70#, if it matters. I have looked a little, but haven't narrowed the list any. Thanks for your thoughts...the vast majority of you know more than do I.

Talked to a friend of mine today, and he suggested an Axion...any thoughts on them?

I'm happy enough with my S-Coil

Most stabs today dont do much for stalization, there just for noise and vibe reduction. Thats why i like my b stinger. It does what a stabilizer is supposed to do, stabalize the bow. It balances my bow really well and when aiming my pin is rock solid. There a bit pricey but well worth it imo.

This is a subject that is very broad to cover as most archers don’t know what the stabilizer is for much less buy the correct stabilizer for their bow. Each bow I have has a different stab. I often make my own with carbon rods; depending on what I’m going to do with the bow. I have some for hunting, some for indoor, some for 3D and some for my long distance exhibition shows.

Most buy stabs to take away vibration and shock, and most stabs on the market do very little to the bow to really affect the way the bow performs. Study what stabilization is for, go on some websites and search it out. Go on Jim Posten’s website and see what he does with stabilization and balance.
