You would probably like a season where its totally weapon of choice then. You know I have killed dozens of deer, I have yet to plan for a 2nd shot.

So many narrow minded views!(reminds me of the PETA people!)
We are all archers,and must stick together!
I shoot longbow,recurve,Compound bows and crossbows!!
All of them have thier advantages and disadvantages!!
Recurve bow-has no mechanical things to go wrong very light weight etc.
Compound bows can be very quiet and have so much letoff.
If u miss with a bow its very easy sum times to reload and sometimes get a 2nd shot off before the game knows whats going on!!
Now those who complain about crossbows,LOL.
Obviously never hunted with one!!
They all make a smack sound that scares anything in the area running,U get one shot!
And try shooting a deer etc.
walking towards you stands broadside for few seconds behind the tree your in,with a crossbow!
It cant be done can it?cause limbs r to close to tree.
U have sum longbow/recurve hunters saying compound bows are cheating etc.
Now you have sum compound bow hunters saying crossbows are cheating etc.
We must all stick together and except it!
Its all still archery equiptment!!
Technology will keep getting more advanced while you like it or not!!
Dont criticise One because they like something you dont!
I will be using my Black widow recurve,my mathews compound and Parker crossbow this season & harvest game with all as every year!!

Have hunted with TED NUGENT And other brothers of the bow!
And I know,you would be welcomed at our camps,Even with your views.(But those views would certainly be different after you leave.)
I have made hundreds of 1 shot kills,
with archery gear!
If you have not taken a 2nd shot at your game cause of a poor hit or miss.
Congradulations brother,You are the 1st archer in HISTORY!!
I dont hold a grudge against u,or have negative feelings because of your views on how archery should be to you.
Thats your opinion,And everyone is entitled to thier own.
I do not hunt with a firearm.
I use my traditional gear,my compounds and crossbow.
I say let it go,
U cant change the growing of technology.
Argue with the (PETA)and the gov thats trying to take your rights away!!

What really gets me is that I truely don't care if they legalize the xbow,I just think it should have its own season.And Kybucky,you say that they should be allowed in bow season.
Well I don't think so! And the way I see it, crying about the fact that bow season is so long,and we only think xbows should have a week or two, and after bow season and what ever eles is crazy.I mean there are still alot of states, including my state,where they are ILLEGAL without a handicap permit,so I would think that a week or two of LEGAL use is way better NONE!!!

Funny thing is that the crossbow hunters around the country are doing exactly the same thing that Roy Case was doing back in the 30's.
Lobbying for their "weapon of choice" be legalized through out the country.
Just think... If Roy Case hadn't lobbied the Wisconsin government for an archery only season we might still have an anything goes season today.
