Gerber Gator ... with a serrated edge on the back half ... best knife I've ever owned ... folding knife that stays sharp, is easy to clean, rubber grip doesn't slip

If your just having problems sitting down just get a leg strap and atach it to your leg, it makes it more convinent and it helps keep it more stable.

This is my all time favorite knife. I strap it to my leg as previously suggested.

I leave mine in my camelpak.
If I'm within one mile from my stand and only hunting for a few hours I leave it in my truck in a scentfree container. I figure if I arrow a deer, I like to wait 1-2 hours for it to expire and this gives me enough time to sit and reflect for 30 minutes then go bring my stuff back to my truck and prepare for a drag:) I'll usually have my ATV to make it easier, unless it's only a couple hundred yards then i'll use good ole boot leather. 4 1/2" Old Timer for my knife of choice...:happy0001: ![]() |
Ihave been using a Falkniven Frey

My folding Buck Knife is easy to sharpen and it keeps a good edge for a long time,as far as cleaning it after field dressing a Deer it will get blood and even some of the fat on it which is harder to get off but if I use warm soapy water it cleans up pretty good.I have taken a pressure sprayer and cleaned it off in where the blade folds up to get any fat or hard to get blood or dirt off of it.
