Rage 40KE or Slick Trick?

after not having a good year with my G5 Strikers I am looking to change broad heads. I have never shot mechanical and am not sure about them. I have heard a lot of good, but also some bad about both of these. Which would you choose and why? any pics would be helpful. Thanks.

I've shot all the b-heads you mentioned but I have to say that IF you think you've had problems or issues with the G5 Strikers (one of the best fixed blade b-heads in the industry), then I would seriously suggest you steer well away from ANY mech b-head. Why lose incredible penetration and sharpness by switching to a mech like the 40KE Rage?!?

Ditto. If you are having problems with Strykers then switching broadheads isn't going to help... especially a mechanical.

Having said that, IMO the Slick Ticks are the best broadheads currently made.

BTW, what problems are you having with the strykers?

What is your bow and arrow setup. Draw length and poundage etc???

Go with the Slick Tricks, bagged an 8 pointer this year and it put a devastating hole in him and broke three ribs. You don't have to worry about the Slick Tricks not opening either.

I have a Fred Bear Obsession, Draw 31" set at 70Lbs. I am not getting good flight out of the G5 broadheads. I am consistent all day with my field points but am all over the place with the G5s I had no problems when I shot wac'em fixed blade the last 3 years but I can no longer find them. I shoot easton Epic arrows with 2' Blazer veins.

what slicktrick would be the best to use?

Your gonna need a seriously stiff arrow for tht setup to hav good performance. A 300 spine would be necesarry for a fixed blade IMO.

You don't think a 340 spine would be enough? I am shooting 30" at 72# and get a much better flight with a 340 spine than a 300 spine. Shooting 125 gr bh's now. Previously shot 100 gr but went up and much prefer it. I suppose it all depends on the bow...could be the same exact specs and shoot differently I suppose.
