I do and have for the last several years, and kill two turkeys pretty much every year.

marquismarc 04-02-2010 03:36 PM

I switched to bow only turkey hunting about 7-years ago. My opening day is April-10th. I hope to have my tom on the ground by 8:00am opening morning.

I only bow hunt, including turkeys, squirrels, rabbits, ducks, varmits, and bowfish.

Last year was my first year trying with a bow, i only went out a couple times with bow in hand and i came really close to killing one but it just wasent meant to be. This year im gonna try to kill one with my bow before picking up the gun, but i tell ya, there aint nothing like runnin and gunnin for turkeys with shotgun in hand.

Pope94/IA 04-04-2010 02:32 PM

I only bow hunt for turkey. I have never killed a turkey and I want my first one to be on film and be taken with a bow. Its gonna be tough but im willing to try.

There is nothing like hunting with a bow, no matter what game you are hunting!!!

wis_rifle_hunter 04-04-2010 06:28 PM

Great challenge for sure, as is anything with the bow. Something about getting that old Tom fired up just gets me going!! Been bowhunting turkeys for a couple years now and love every minute. Good luck to each of you

Go to KS. I saw 3 ads in my last bowhunter mag. that GUARANTEED 100% success rate.....or you didn't pay.

It's made a LOT of people turkey bowhunters.

GregH 04-07-2010 01:00 PM

I use both bow and shot gun.

I think that each state has a different challenge. In MI, I have taken one in the fall and spring almost every year; however, in PA, it is a different story. The toms are very weary and very difficult to take. My season this year passes from MI to PA and then back to OH. I am so excited to get the blind out. Got the 101 out and started to shoot distances. Not as good as last year but I am ready. Good luck to everyone!

ManofTheFall 04-07-2010 07:45 PM

I'll be out with my bow in 10 days.

jnrbronc 04-09-2010 02:08 PM

I picked up two archery spring turkey tags last night. This will be my 5th year with a bow, had success the last three.

Bambeklr 04-09-2010 11:17 PM

RJPOUTDOORS 04-10-2010 11:55 AM

I have been hunting them for about 8 years with a bow. I have taken 5 so far. There is good days and bad ones, but it is a lot of fun. My 10 year old son is going after his first tom with bow this year. He spent Ky. youth weekend in a blind trying to get a bird. Good Hunting to all.

bloodcrick 04-10-2010 12:07 PM
