Silver Scent Protection?

I see there is now silver wash, silver spray and silver lined clothing to prevent bacterial growth, thus stinky clothes. This makes sense to me since most synthetic fabric have a tendency to smell with body perspiration. However can anyone vouch for how well either the silver spray/wash or the nano-silver lined clothes work?

The silver ion inhibits bacterial growth on the skin. I wear the socks almost year-round if I'm wearing pants as they actually help REDUCE FOOT ODOR, and are the MOST comfortable socks I've ever worn. If I could find them in a footie sock, I'd wear those the rest of the time. The theory only works when you start w/ good hygiene, and build from there. I wear the base layers and socks, I'm not sure that any of the OTHER stuff would really be that effective as it's not AGAINST THE SKIN, but the base layers and socks ARE as good as advertised in my opinion. :cool2:

Hello

I used the primos silver spray on my rubber boots. The boots were about 9 months old and I had walked on a wide beaten down trail to get to my stand. There was no vegetation to rub against and I try to be scent free as possible. But a nice yearling buck came walking along and instantly became nervous once hitting my track. He didn't stick around long. The wind was in my favor and I have a lot of nice whitetail bucks to my credit and his reaction is what I would've expected from a mature buck had I walked the trail in tennis shoes. Either the boots still had that new rubber smell (which I couldn't smell) or the silver spray really bothered him. It may have been a fluke, but I haven't used it since.

I tried all the primos products and can't say I liked them. I could smell a smell in my cloths that didn't smell like the outdoors after washing. And even had a scent, not a bad one, on myself after washing.

I quit using all primos scent products.

So from what I hear people saying, it would be beneficial to wear a base layer that has silver-embedded in it permanently, but stay away from the silver wash and spray.
