Tripod stand height?

I have a tripod stand that has a seat height of 9 feet. Is that tall enough? Thoughts? I am considering leg extensions. Thanks.

I'd opt for the leg extensions and also consider brushing the tripod platform in well.

It all depends on where or in what sort of terrain/cover you are placing the stand.

Don't go so high up that you skyline yourself, but you want to be able to see over the low lying/low growing ground cover that deer often conceal themselves behind. I've found that 12'-15' is often plenty without overdoing it.

The buck I shot last season.... I was 8' off the ground and he was above me on an 8' high burm.... we were essentially eye level about 10 yards apart when I shot him.
