Best cabon arrows for me?
 

I'm a new bowhunter and i have my bow on it's way in the mail, but i'm having trouble figuring out which carbon arrows i should go with. i'm gonna be shooting a bowtech guardian with probably a 55lb draw weight. the guys at bos told me to go with the dozen pack of carbon furys for $55, but my buddy is telling me to spend a little more and get better arrows. he said the carbon furys flex a lot when shot, so it takes away from your accuracy.

in your guys' opinion, what're the best arrows i should check out for this bow while hopefully staying in the $40-$50 price range? either a dozen or half dozen if ok. i'd also like to get situated with 85gr field tips and broadheads, but i can find the broadheads later. thanks for any help guys! :barmy:

Not the answer your looking for, but its proved true for me.

You can take a top notch well tuned bow, and shoot crap arrows out of it, and it will not shoot well.

You can take a mediocre bow, and shoot good straight consistently spined arrows where the spine matches that bow, and shoot great.

The arrow is I would say the most important part. I see guys spend well over 600 dollars for a bare bow but try to go cheap with arrows.

I suggest at the min beman ICS hunters. I used em for years and they are ok. But if you are going shoot a nice bow, why not look at some easton ACC's.

Here's the arrows how I personally rank em for that bow for your poundage
Aluminum 2216's(still straightest and most consistent out there, affordable, easily tuned)
Easton A/C/C (awesome arrow,but expensive)
Carbon Tech whitetail hunter 0.4" spined) Try to get the USA version
Carbon express Maximas 0.4" spined
Beman MFX (ok arrows)
Beman ICS (bottom of my list but gets the job done)

The Easton St Excels have performed very well for me. You can get the shafts at bowhunterssupplystore for about $55.

I agree with BC, I don't think there are any free rides when it comes to arrow shafts. I Like the Carbon Express Maxima series for all carbon arrows.

The Easton ACC's are Awesome, and the Easton FMJ's are a great arrows as well with just a little more weight.

If I was limited as to what I could spend on arrows I would at least pony up enough to buy some Beman ICS. IMO they are the best of the lower cost shafts.

I have the Excels for $57 and that includes Priority shipping. The Beman ICS are $67 including Priority shipping. IMO you get what you pay for, and like BC states it makes little sense to me to pay for a top of the line compound and then refuse to spend $10 to $20 for a better arrow.

To each their own. That's why they make so many different arrow shafts.:cool:
