They work great and I will continue to use them . Their customer service is to be commended . Most of my Rage 2 kills have bben double lung shots and the farthest was 35 yards .
If someone is happy with their Muzzys , etc fine . If it works , don't fix it .

Not directing this to you In the least Mark or the thread starter. On these hunting forums on the Internet It seems no one's animal goes over 40 yards anymore. I call BS on that. I've saw perfectly placed arrows (mine and others) end up In 100 to 150 yard recovery's with a dead animal. Your choice of BH wouldn't look good/bad ass enough If you said that on here or any hunting forum though. Yes I've had allot of deer and bear go no farther then 50 yards and fall over but I've also had my share of deer and bear go 100 yards and fall over too with the exact shot placement and same broadhead make. It's not just about shot placement and make of broad head, every animal Is wired differently too.
Although, as magic as that 40yd or less number sounds, I truly had that experience 4 out of the 5 times I've hit a deer with them.
The one deer that ran was a poor shot which was caused by a limb deflection... I should have never taken the shot in thick cover, but the deer still died although the hit was far back...
One doe went a ranged 9 yards from the hit and it was a double lung shoulder shot...
No bs or exageration. Maybe luck??? It did happen tho.
I'm shootin reapers now tho bc they just seem more durable and less likely to fail.

i personally love these heads but i shot a doe perfect quartering away at 20 yrds got lodged in off shoulder she ran a good 150 yards. turns out i one lung and was a little high but either way thats a long way fro a deer with one lung.

It must be some sort of a reflex action. We all possess the necessary skill to be a proficient ******* when the need arises, but some folks seem to live for the opportunity to hone their ******* skills. It just seems that in some, the mere mention of "Rage Broadhead", along with a few other slect topics, triggers an involuntary manifestation of this trait.

A deer that is one lung can run a heck of lot further then 150 yards and half the time they'll live off of one lung... On the quartering shot you must have messed some other things up.. Thats a bonus of the rage BH, it does some damage..

I shot the three blade model a couple of years ago and had a lot of problems with the blades opening up in my quiver. I started to second guess whether they'd open up in flight due to the vibration of the shot. I just couldn't get past that and ended up selling them. I'm a fixed blade guy now. But, obviously, shoot what you have confidence in.

Did you make that up as you went???? A deer hit in one lung will travel much further, but to expect a deer hit in one lung to survive 50% of the time is crazy. You might not recover it, but a deer with a single hemoraging lung is a dead deer.

I would have to say that if you think that every deer that is single-lunged dies you are completely crazy.. My good friend owns a huge butching shop that service all over the world and during deer season they also do deer processing, they bring close to 2,000 deer a season in.. I have helped him many times to catch up and have seen with my own eyes deer that have been shot (single-lunged) and healed up and then shot weeks later and or even years later.. The lung shrinks up and the deer does in fact survive... I have personally harvest deer that have been previously shot through one-lung and they looked normal as could be... I also know others that have made that type of shot and 100% positive that they single-lunged the deer and caught it on trail-cams weeks later.. I quess it is unfair to give an actually percentage but I do believe that if in the deer is ONLY hit through ONE lung then they do have a decent chance of survival.. Now if you catch anything else, the liver/maybe some guts/or whatever depending on the angle of the shot then the deer will probably be died within 500 or so yards..
