I find the fresh earth scent dryer sheets works just as well, if not better than the waffers. I take a scent safe sealable bag, put down a couple dryer sheets, than fold my cloths after washing them with scent removal detergent, just before I put them in the bag i spray them one last time with scent exterminator. I place the clothes one layer at a time, with on of the dryer sheets in between. Then sit on the bag to force all the air out, and seal it. When you open that bag up the dirt smell will nock you down!!!:D....Just like Jag said...You will NEVER get that fresh earth scent out!! Top that off with a couple of the wafers when you go out...and set back totally undetected!!
Good Luck,
Larry [8D]

One additional thing that I tried the last couple of years and it seemed to work well.
EARTH Scent body wash. I take a shower and wash with this before each hunt.[:-]

This is not BS or not a ploy. Have personally seen this stuff kill the odors. I have even seen it kill gas odors on your hands. Vanishing Hunter spray. It is not a cover up like someothers nor does it absorb the odor, it kills it. The bacteria and molecules that cause the odors are killed instantly. You can see a review and get more info at www.sccoutdoors.com . We use this along with scent loc suits and it seems to do the trick for us. We have 2 people in the tree at all times and it seems to help us.

Oh yeah we always wear knee high rubber boots, not rubber bottom but solid rubber boots. People can say what they want, but they do help in keeping your odor in and the Vanishing Hunter does the rest.

I posted this a few weeks ago.
Here' s what I do. I learned it a couple of years ago on another forum. It works great. Wash your hunting clothes in sent free soap or detergent. After it finishes, reset your washer to the rinse cycle an pour a generous amount of baking soda.
I use a small box of the cheap soda that wal-mart sells. Bout 25 cents a box.
Run the rinse cycle. As it rinses, the baking soda granules embed into the frabric.
After the rinse cycle is over, HANG the clothes to dry. ( do not use a dryer) This way the soda stays in the frabric. Then put them away til time to use. It works really well. I see more deer and they come in close. I wash everything, gloves, face mask, socks, everything. Then I store them in one of those plastic storage boxes.

For cover scent, Racoon pee worrks well for me.

good luck
mike

I live and hunt in Florida. During bow season the temps are in the 80' s... in the morning! by noon it' s 100 with 98% humidity! I have had deer within 10 feet and they never knew I was there.

Wash your clothes in WILDLIFE RESEARCH PRODUCTS clothing wash. This includes pants, shirts, socks, underwear, backpack, EVERYTHING! Wash your body with WILDLIFE RESEARCH PRODUCTS bar soap. this includes everything. Hair, pits, crotch, butthole, EVERYTHING! Take one tablespoon clothing wash and mix with one quart water, spray your treestand fabric, and your boots, inside and out even if rubber! Wet a washcloth and put in a ziplock bag, to wipe the sweat off when needed.Spray everything with earth scent spray made by the same company. After it has all dried (outside) Spray you equipment with PERMETHRIN, it come in brand names as " Permanone" and other names. It is a bug repellant/killer.

DO NOT dress in your hunting clothes until you get out of the truck to go into the woods.Wear other clothes for the drive there, that have also been washed in the soap you used on your hunting clothes.

Read the directions carefully and follow them. The company that makes this stuff has allready teested it to find the best way to use it.

Email me at [email protected] I' ll explain a few more tricks that I use to stay cool and scent free. Let me know what city you' re from and where you hunt.
