Hi my name is Chris I am an Industrial Design student at Kendall Institute of Art and Design and for my Industrial Design 3 project im planing on designing a new hunting bow. I have a few questions that I would like for you to answer if you have the time and it is much appreciated.

1) what is your gender?

2) how old are you?

3) what kind of bow hunting do you normally do?

4) what kind of bow do you prefure or use?

5) what are the advantages or disadvantages of the bow that you are currently using?

6) what would you like in the design of a new bow?

7) what features do you like on some bows that are not on or available on your bow?

8)how much are you willing to pay for a bow?

9) how much would your ideal bow weigh be?

10) do you prefure hunting on the ground or in a tree stand?

Just design a bow that has 80% let-off, shoots 490 fps, never has limb issues, and have it available in ANY camo pattern ever designed and you will own the world.

This seems to be more of a census quiz about the age groups, what age groups spend money and what $$$ range people spend. Why would age, gender, and hunting on the ground or a tree have ANYTHING to do with the design of a bow?

AGE--perhaps designing a beginner bow. Shorter draw lengths???? Lighter poundages. Less fancy to keep cost down for young shooters

Gender--Perhaps color choices(a few pink ones out now) Again shorter draw lenghths. Lighter poundages

Hunting off ground or tree stand---Axle to axle length.

Im guessing the questions/survey are part of the project/assignment. Aid in designing a bow that is the most marketable based on the answers .

3) what kind of bow hunting do you normally do?
white tail and turkey
4) what kind of bow do you prefure or use?
fast but effecient
5) what are the advantages or disadvantages of the bow that you are currently using?
I'm using an older 03' bowtech stalker which has served me well but I'm buying a 08' bowtech 101st to improve performance, speed, and feel
6) what would you like in the design of a new bow? I would be interested to see someone follow in the Limbsaver footsteps and design a bow which incorporates what they have produced but with a more mainstream look

7) what features do you like on some bows that are not on or available on your bow?
Speed
8)how much are you willing to pay for a bow?
$600
9) how much would your ideal bow weigh be?
I like a lighter bow but would not be opposed to a heavier bow as long as it shoots well.
10) do you prefure hunting on the ground or in a tree stand? Tree Stand
